The innovation serves as a one stop shop for all technology needs of cooperative societies, it solves issues of accountability, productivity, monitoring and reporting needs of every cooperative society and connect them to the apex body for purpose of ascertaining their contributions to the overall growth of the economy so as to enable government and development partners understand the level of support they should extend to co-operative activities in Nigeria.

The solution offers a robust co-operative platform that supports financial services and collaboration between the various State Co-operative Financing Agencies and the apex body – National Co-operative Financing Agency of Nigeria (CFAN).

CFAN is the Apex Co-operative financial institution in Nigeria established under the Co-operative Societies Act 2004 CAP 98 LFN under the recommendation of the National Co-operative Development Policy of Nigeria (2002).

It was first established in 1978 as National Association of Co-operative Credit Union of Nigeria (NACCUN) and was rebranded as National Co-operative Financing Agency of Nigeria (CFAN) on 7th April, 2015 in line with the recommendations of the cooperative development policy aforementioned. CFAN serves as the Apex Body for all Thrift & Credit Co-operative Societies, Unions and State Co-operative Financing Agencies as well as having the collateral responsibility of providing linkage and access to finance for all sectors of the co-operative enterprise in Nigeria.

CFAN is affiliated to the Co-operative Federation of Nigeria (CFN) and the African Confederation of Co-operative Credit Associations (ACCOSCA) with Headquarters in Kenya as well as a Board Member of the Apex Continental Body. The UCP is owned by CFAN on behalf of her affiliates, driven by the Co-operatives and managed by CWG PLC
